Environmental Scientist

Lars Kazmeier joined BIOTROPICA AUSTRALIA in 2006 following extensive tertiary studies in the Wet Tropics. As a student at the University of Friedrich-Alexander and University Erlangen/Nuremberg, Lars completed his Honours degree with a study of Lemuroid Ringtail possums in the highlands around Ravenshoe, following this up with a PhD study of Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroo near Malanda.

Lars has significant biological and zoological expertise, and is also a highly skilled GIS technician. Now an Australian resident, Lars is looking forward to continuing his association with local nature conservation groups including the Tree Kangaroo and Mammal Group Inc and TREAT Inc.
