Environment North is a Queensland-owned practice based in Cairns. The company, which specialises in environmental management and planning, was initially established in 1987 as an office of the well known Brisbane-based firm Environment Science and Services, trading as Environment Science & Services (NQ) before becoming a separate entity (Environment North) in 1993.

Environment North provides specialist project management, environmental planning, and environmental management advice to all tiers of government and selected private sector clients. We offer expertise and a breadth of experience in natural resource evaluation, environmental policy analysis, management planning, recreation planning and ecotourism assessments and seek to develop real-world solutions to complex environmental issues where there is competition for limited natural resources.
