Environment North – Cape York Quarries and Water Points

Working with Environment North, Biotropica Australia has surveyed over 100 sites on the Cape York Peninsula, searching for endangered, vulnerable and near threatened plants and animals. Former Biotropica botanist Mason Campbell and former Biotropica Scientist Anita Randall found a Hairy-seeded Fuzzweed (Peripleura sericea) at a proposed gravel pit site on Cape York, a significant range extension for the species.

Biotropica Australia has a long established relationship with Environment North and has been working closely with themĀ on many traffic infrastructure projects on Cape York Peninsula.
